The newest viral sensation to grace the net had a chat with Markki, Chico, Rica and Hazel on The Morning Rush! We got to know more about Macoy Dubs, who portrays an online character called Auntie Julie, a very sosyal yet hip tita that has been making rounds around social media! He came on The Morning Rush as Auntie Julie, complete with her signature pearl earrings and necklace and her diamond ring!
But who is Auntie Julie aka Macoy Dubs (real name Mark Averilla)? Macoy Dubs started out as a comedic dubber, hence his screenname, and started dubbing famous movies with witty and funny lines in Tagalog and beki talk. He gained instant fame when his dub of the chick flick movie Mean Girls became viral!
He then continously dubbed several scenes from Mean Girls, White Chicks and The Devil Wears Prada until he has been dubbing numerous scenes from movies, TV shows and even commercials! These dubs from him had majorly become viral on Facebook because of its really LMAO-worthy lines! He even started the "Ganda ka?!" catchphrase!
Macoy then expanded his content when Tiktok became a trend. He has made several Tiktok videos with comedic sketches and scenarios. But his videos aren't just all about laughs, he's also aware of current affairs! Like everyone with a voice, Macoy speaks out on national issues in the best way he knows how - thru entertainment! Like the digital kween he is, Macoy took to Tiktok to voice out his opinions on things that matter.

But did you know, Macoy is not just your average entertainer? He's also a lecturer! Yup, he is a professor in his alma mater, Colegio de San Juan de Letran! You definitely wouldn't want to miss a class of his!
Now how did Auntie Julie come to life? Macoy was just doing one of his usual sketches, where he pretends to be a sosyal tita, and it apparently became a fan favorite! That's when Macoy started to do more skits and sketches featuring Auntie Julie on Tiktok and netizens are just loving it! Auntie Julie is somehow a relatable character, probably a reason why she is so popular! Everyone either has a mom like Auntie Julie or an actual aunt or a family friend. And because of Macoy's funny lines, expressions and wit, it made the character much more viral!
