Last August 5, Araneta Coliseum was packed with intense energy, hype, and all-around vibes as iKON took off their world tour and landed in Manila. Filipino iKONICS are definitely in for an explosive night with Bobby, Song, DK, Ju-ne, and Chan!

Donned in silver, metallic outfits, iKON started their show strong with tracks “Tantara”, “SINOSIJAK”, “At ease”, and “KILLING ME”. The boys of iKON then took the chance to say their greetings and welcome their iKONICS to the show, stating how much the members miss their Filipino fans! The fiery performance and heartwarming opening sentiments were followed immediately with the “Rhythm Ta”, “BLING BLING” the ever-so iconic “LOVE SCENARIO”, and “U”

Solo stages took over the Big Dome as the members showcased their individual tracks from their recent TAKE OFF album. The sultry track by DK titled “Kiss Me” got Filipino iKONICS giggling and feeling hot during his passionate performance. Not long after, Ju-ne stood on stage, guitar in hand, as he kicked off his stage with his R&B solo “Want You Back”. Bobby then turned it up a notch as he sang and spat bars of “HeartBROKEN PlaYBoY” from his 2021 album “LUCKY MAN.” Wrapping off their solo stages, Song totally transformed the vibe as he performed his energetic trot song “FIGHTING”, which made the crowd burst out into screams of applause and entertainment! iKON truly knows how to keep its fans on the edges of their seats and toes with the variety of genres they offer. The group’s maknae Chan, however, had no solo stage as he hasn’t released his own song yet, but he did promise he would prepare for it by the time they come back to the country again!

iKON kept the show going, including tracks “GOODBYE ROAD”, “B-DAY”, and “Driving Slowly” for the second half. iKON and Filipino iKONICS energy were truly unmatched!

The supposed 2-hour show was extended for an hour more as an overflowing of encore songs filled the Big Dome. But before that, during their ending ment, Filipino iKONICS gave the group a gift in the shape of special fan projects including a banner that says “IKONICS LOVE IKON ALWAYS AND FOREVER” and a very creative yet heartfelt fan-made video. The members were truly touched and teary-eyed by the continuous amount of love and support their Filipino fans have for them! The group ended their Take Off show in Manila on a high note with encore performances of “B-DAY”, “Rhythm Ta”, “LOVE SCENARIO”, “FREEDOM” and “Tantara”! The fans would love to have the group back in the country again, this time with all six of them! Leader Jay couldn’t come this time due to his military service commitment. Despite his absence, the “Prince of Philippines” was still very much felt all over the Big Dome and Filipino iKONICS still had fun with him!

It was sure a moment we will never forget! Thanks to PULP Live World for making the 2023 iKON WORLD TOUR happen in Manila!
