Last Thursday, April 30, the All Out duo Rico Robles and Karla Aguas went live on Facebook with Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, a.k.a. they mayor that Metro Manila has been going crazy over for the past few months!

Things started off with an update on the current situation in Pasig, and how he and the other Metro Manila mayors have been implementing their plans during ECQ. A lot of teamwork and communication is involved, as the mayors all learn from each other – and they have a ton of Viber group chats to communicate! After some chat about the Pasig government’s plans and progress regarding community quarantine and COVID-19, the three kept things pretty casual and Mayor Vico answered some fun questions from listeners, which there were A LOT of.

One topic everyone was eager to learn about: Mayor Vico’s love life! “What is love for Mayor Vico?” Rico asked him, to which he replied “Wala akong alam sa love!” But they did get the mayor to describe his ideal girl: matalino and easygoing! “Outside of work I’m very relaxed lang eh,” he explained (and Karla took notes).

Another hot topic that people were dying to hear about: the mayor’s recent Zoom teleconference that went viral for the funniest reason. Let’s just say a very surprising screen accidentally showed up when one participant on the call forgot to change their NSFW background (if you don’t know what we’re talking about, a quick Google or Facebook search should lead you right to it, *wink wink*). “How did you keep your composure?” Karla asked. “Because truth be told, I would have lost it!”

They all laughed about it, and Vico agreed with Karla, “I almost lost it as well! Nagulat din ako, siyempre, it was a relatively formal teleconference. Tapos biglang may ganun.” He said that everyone in the room with him was holding back laughter when it happened.

Rico and Karla also learned more about Mayor Vico’s family life. These days, he sadly doesn’t get much quality time with family members. During his dad, Vic Sotto’s birthday, they had a quick Zoom call to celebrate. As for his mom Coney Reyes, they live together, but he doesn’t get much more than a quick hello and goodbye on a daily basis. “A five-minute conversation, mahaba na ‘yun,” he said. But family is very important to this mayor, and he gives credit to his parents for teaching him a lot of the values he carries with him now, like being prayerful and God-fearing, having integrity, and keeping a good work ethic.

Other fun facts we learned about Mayor Vico on his All Out guesting? His all-time favorite movie (Zoolander!), favorite ulam (ribeye steak, a classy guy), favorite ice cream flavor (cookies and cream), and if he’s a fan of pineapples on pizza (he doesn’t hate them, but a regular cheese pizza is good enough). He also said that when he gets free time these days, he likes to watch The Last Dance documentary series – he’s a basketball fan!

Before leaving the show, Vico gave his message to all the listeners and Filipinos going through ECQ: “I know these are difficult times, whether mentally, financially, physically. But let’s just hold tight; hopefully if all of us follow the guidelines from our government, then maybe after two weeks, we can start loosening up with the quarantine. Let’s just keep doing whatever we can to help, whether it’s staying at home, or donating, or talking to people who need emotional support. Even if we’re all at home, we can all find ways to help. Hopefully, we get past this really soon!”

As for his farewell message to Karla and Rico, he promised to drop by the station once things are back up and running! “After the quarantine, I’ll be there!”
