Starting a new week, Richard Juan came back again on All Out with Rico and Karla to catch up and hang out with our DJs and our Monsters as well! When asked how is he currently doing, he replied "Can be better" obviously referring to our current situation. Richard also mentioned how the last time they were all together was back at the RX booth, February last year!

Since Richard Juan is known for travelling the world on an almost daily basis, our DJs got curious where Richard was when the lockdown happened! Well, he was here in Manila and has been since January this year shooting for his TV series "Love Thy Woman" and that's what's been keeping him busy pre-quarantine. Although it may seem like time stopped since the quarantine, Richard doesn't like wasting time! He has been keeping himself productive, keeping himself busy still even if we are all confined to our homes. Of course, Richard can and will never forget to do his part by helping out our frontliners! Richard was blessed enough with family and friends back in Hong Kong who willingly helped him find a supplier to help out our frontliners with PPEs and supplies. That's what Richard has been doing for the first 2 months of lockdown. He has also been studying and shooting here and there to really maximize his productivity!

So how did Richard pull off the giving out of supplies all the way from Hong Kong to our frontliners here in the Philippines? It wasn't easy as he encountered 3 challenges along the way: The first one was finding a supplier and convince them to allocate a little bit for the PH, even covering all the expenses himself. Richard wants to give back and support the PH as he has been living here for the past 10 years. The second challenge he went thru was having to undergo customs. Ever since the pandemic happened, a lot of people are taking advantage of the situation by reselling supplies for a really high price. Customs have been careful with that sort of situation and since Richard has been gathering supplies from abroad, they might get the idea that Richard may also be a reseller or whatnot so he really had to convince the customs that he's doing it for a purpose and not for selfish reasons. The last one was choosing which hospital to donate all these supplies to. Richard went with the relatively smaller public hospitals, the ones that he know isn't getting much funding, support and donations. We commend Richard for the huge selfless and humane act that he has done for his fellow countrymen and frontliners in this current crisis we are facing in, for really taking the time and resources out of his own time and pocket to do his part as a Filipino citizen. We 100% stan a socially responsible, whole hearted inspiration!

Richard Juan is also active on TikTok and has been doing various videos since. But he's not just your average TikTok-er, like all of his social media platforms, Richard also uses this platform to educate and share important information/knowledge. Richard posted a video on his TikTok in which he explained why spraying alcohol and reusing surgical face masks is not recommended. Rico couldn't help but ask the backstory behind it and how he learned this information. Richard shared that the video was inspired by a friend of his who worked in the medical field. He shares that according to his friend, spraying alcohol on face masks ruins the coating of the mask. At first Richard was skeptical about it until he tested out the theory and found out that it did work! And of course, being the socially responsible guy he is, he decided to share that information to people to be aware!

@richardjuan

NEVER SPRAY ALCOHOL ON TO YOUR FACE MASKS AND REUSE THEM...and this is WHY! ##xyzbca ##covid19 ##coronavirus ##foryou ##foryourpage ##fyp

If you have been a fan or follower of Richard Juan's social media accounts, you'd know that he also posts educational and informational content on his platforms. Richard describes his content as "info-tainment" a mix of information and entertainment. Richard has really been exerting his effort to voice out relevant and timely issues on his platforms, especially at a trying time like this. For him, disseminating information is the responsible thing for him to do seeing as how he has a huge platform and a huge following. He quotes, “If I don’t want to talk about relevant things, if I don’t want to talk about what people want to talk about then what’s the point of having this platform?” Richard is definitely and truly an Iskolar Ng Bayan!

But the problem with being so open and vocal on social media are the hate you tend to get from anonymous, troll accounts or even bashers who would just hate and dispel what you have to say. How did Richard overcome this? He shared that before he would always make sure the content he puts out are "relatively safe" but because how the pandemic is going on, Richard thought that maybe it is the time to really speak his mind and tell people the things that he wants to see change. Richard did admit that he still fears being bashed but at the end of the day, he does choose to say the things that make sense because of his strong belief in change and action. Richard is being a voice of the youth, speaking up for the those who can't in topics that relate to the seriousness of the current situation we are facing in.

In a much lighter note, a lot of Richard's fans and admirers got so excited when they find out he'll be going live on the show! And a lot of them have expressed their attraction to this Chinito cutie, most saying he resembles certain Korean actors! Does Richard still get surprised or kilig when he gets compliments like these from fans? Even if he has been in the industry for quite a long time, Richard still gets flattered when he receives and reads messages/compliments! Richard didn't even think he'd still get supporters up to this day! He feels very privileged to have his Juanderers continue supporting him and has been there for him since Day 1! They even have a Korean name called Hanadeul which is their new fandom name they came up with! How adorable are Richard's Juanderers? They even taught Richard how to speak in Korean!

In terms of show business, does Richard see himself working as an actor in the long run? Richard Juan has been a series regular in the TV series "Love Thy Woman" although the series was cut short due to the pandemic. Even though that didn't work out to his expectations, Richard is a jack-of-all-trades! He has been travelling, did some hosting, modelling and posting Youtube content and then acting! "Love Thy Woman" is his first ever acting gig where he was a regular and he was very blessed to work alongside big stars like Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Eula Valdes and more! So, does that answer the question if Richard wants to stay in the industry? Yes he does! He wants to explore acting a little bit more and also do behind-the-scenes work, mainly producing! Richard also revealed that he has started a small project with his friends in which he did some production-related work, so we better stay tuned for that!

Richard also shared that he wants to play a kontrabida in future roles but would definitely take him a couple more years to do so, seeing as he has a very cute and adorable face to play a bad guy! Well, we can't argue with that! But for now, he wants to explore a lot more of different roles. Rico and Karla also challenged him on the spot to give out his meanest, kontrabida face. Even with his meanest face, he still looks adorable than ever! LOL! A for effort though, Richard! What was Richard's main takeaway on starring in a show with huge actors? He was just very fortunate to work his first series with a stellar cast!

Who are the actors/actresses Richard wants to work with in the future? Locally-speaking, he wants to work with Nadine Lustre, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla and Marian Rivera as she was the one that Richard wanted to work with when he first moved here! How about a loveteam or a celebrity crush hmm? Well, Richard wants to go international as he is currently crushing on Korean actress Seo Ye-Ji on the hit Kdrama "It's Okay To Not Be Okay". He wishes to meet, or better yet, work with her someday!

Speaking of Korean actors, Richard Juan has been complimented alongside Korean actor Kim Soo-Hyun, saying that both actors resemble each other! So much actually that even Korean media sites have featured Richard Juan but not as Kim Soo-Hyun's doppelganger, but the viral Park Seo Joon challenge that Richard did on Instagram that gained a lot of attention! Close enough, Richard! We see it!

Rico and Karla asked Richard to describe his current daily routine so we can get a glimpse of his life. He really does try to maximize his time by being productive! He always wakes up at 9:30 in the morning, started to learn and invest in stocks (and he encourages you to do so!), currently learns the Korean language, try to work out from time to time, and working on his upcoming project!

Richard leaves a message to everyone who is struggling with staying positive in this situation: "This is not the end of it. It's just a phase. We're gonna go thru this together. As long as we work towards that goal together, things will eventually be okay. Just don't lose hope, that's really the key message here is to not lose hope and believe that things will be okay. Hashtag tiwala 'di ba? Tiwala."
