“I’ve been to a lot of countries and it’s really rare that one sits so deeply in my heart,” Laufey expressed love & gratitude for Filipino fans in her ‘A Matter of Time’ Tour in Manila Day 1 — May 26, 2026. Laufey was in the Philippines last May 2024 for her two-night sold out concert performing alongside the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

Filipino fans flocked in fairytale costumes dressed in blue and white hues in reference to Laufey’s ‘A Matter of Time’ album — with clocks, crowns, gowns, & stars in the details. The night was beyond a celebration of Laufey’s music, it was a night to remember.

Laufey’s concert ensemble starred five acts. The setlist was composed of songs from her latest album, ‘A Matter of Time’ and songs knitted in her hits — ‘Lover Girl,’ ‘From the Start,’ and ‘Promise’ among others. The stage design showed impeccable images narrating the story of her songs — each act as if opening a chapter of a book in her album.

Laufey’s ACT I during her Day 1 concert in Manila opened with ‘Clockwork,’ a song that talks about the vulnerability of falling for a friend. Much like the core theme of the ‘A Matter of Time’ Album, the song unravels the chaos, the nerves, and the experiences that vividly describe the feeling of falling in love, with all the good bits and in-betweens.

The concert was an ensemble of both music and artistry. The SM Mall of Asia Arena transformed into Laufeyland – a place where stories behind love and hurt evolve through Laufey’s music. Like a play about the experiences narrated in her album, the concert starred a mid-wardrobe change short film showing Laufey playing different characters with varying  costumes derived from her songs – a bee, a princess, etc.

A unique highlight in all of the traces of Laufey’s ‘A Matter of Time’ Tour, one is crowned as ‘best-dressed’ categorized as the concert goer with the most creative and visually eye-catching costume of the night. A fashion designer dressed up in a blue princess-themed gown won ‘best-dressed,’ personally hand-picked by Laufey and Mei Mei the Bunny. The arena lights up as Laufey concludes the day 1 concert with a song she wrote for her 13-year old self – ‘Letter To My 13 Year Old Self’, expressing how deeply she feels with the track and reminiscing how far she's come in the industry.

Thank you, Laufey for a magical night of wonder and the beautifully narrated story of love, hurt, and the beautiful in-betweens.
