After setting sail and debuting in Korea, global pop group HORI7ON is back home on Philippine shores! Rico and Kayla got a chance to chat with Jeromy, Marcus, Kyler, Vinci, Reyster, Kim, and Winston last September 22 on ‘All Out,’ and we must say: what a way to leave a mark for their first interview with the Monster!

The group was created through the country’s first idol survival show, “Dream Maker.” After rigorous talent training with both local and Korean coaches, the seven boys stood out and came out on top, besting 55 other contestants. They then departed to South Korea for 100 days of more training under the K-Pop system. But what exactly did this entail?

“It was really rigorous training. We trained [in] everything you need to be an idol. It’s not just dance, obviously there’s singing as well, rapping, depending on our position,” youngest member Marcus shared. “And as Filipinos in South Korea, [we] also [had to learn] the language… the hardest part of it all”, Vinci, HORI7ON’s leader, also added. “They taught us about etiquette, the culture, manners.”

Clearly, all their dedication and passion paid off, as HORI7ON successfully debuted last July 24 with their 21-track studio album ‘FRIEND-SHIP,’ headlined by catchy dance-pop song ‘SIX7EEN’! They also got to perform their title track on four major music shows: SBS Inkigayo, MBC Show! Music Core, KBS Music Bank, and Mnet M Countdown, the first Filipino group to do so – hopefully, we see the boys take home their first-ever music show trophy soon!

Rico, Kayla, and all the Monsters who tuned in were treated with a sneak peek of their groovy ‘SIX7EEN’ dance moves, and we were definitely more than impressed:

The boys also talked about their participation in the upcoming 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), happening this December at the Philippine Arena. “As a rookie, we never expected to be invited to attend the AAA. So it’s definitely an honor for us. We’re so happy and glad to share the same stage with other idols and actors. We are so blessed,” said Winston.

This is not the first time that HORI7ON will be gracing such a huge stage – they recently took over the Big Dome for their first ever concert, just 47 days after their debut! It was a reunion of sorts with their Filipino ANCHOR, and the boys proved how they deserve all the good things that’s been coming their way by delivering powerful performances, both as a group and individually! And of course, as per ‘All Out’ tradition, Rico and Kayla asked the boys some fun questions to get to know them more. One of them was particularly interesting: where would Jeromy, Marcus, Kyler, Vinci, Reyster, Kim, and Winston be if they weren’t in HORI7ON?

We are so excited to see just how far HORI7ON will come, this is surely just the beginning. Fighting, boys!
