Less than a year since they visited the Philippines as part of the ‘NCT 127 - The Link’ world tour, K-Pop all-rounders Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo are back – and this time, as part of the NCT sub-unit DoJaeJung! Their ‘Scented Symphony: Perfume’ fan concert was held last Saturday, June 25, at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, presented by Ovation Productions and VIU.

The trio opened the show with a sultry performance of ‘Kiss.’ Fluid moves and soulful vocals pumped up the NCTzens in attendance!

After hyping up the crowd with that performance, DoJaeJung greeted all their fans and comfortably took their seat alongside host Sam Oh for a quick chat. They were clearly happy to be back in Manila, with the screams of Filo Czennies welcoming them!

“It’s always great to be back in Manila, but now we’re back with new music, new performances, and a new style,” shares Jaehyun. “Today is a dream come true. I wanna end this concert [in a way] that this is the best show you guys have ever seen.”

The first game of the night was “Spot the Difference,” wherein photos of the boys were shown side-by-side on the screen with slight differences that they must find. This brought out Jaehyun’s infamous competitive side, which is why he won after finding all five differences in his pictures! Jungwoo also got five points but with a little help from the Czennies who were glad to tell him the answer, while Doyoung spotted two. It was so fun to play along with the members!

The next segment called “TMI Talk” had the boys answering questions from fans. Doyoung proudly sang ‘Like a Star,’ from the hit K-Drama ‘YUMI’s Cells’ after he was asked for his favorite OST that he worked on. Jungwoo shared that he’d like to try reggae and hip-hop in the future. Jaehyun, meanwhile, had everyone screaming in kilig when he was asked to describe Filo Czennies in one word and he said “vanilla,” in reference to the caption he used in a special post dedicated to his visit to the country last year. “Manila, sweet as vanilla,” it said — so the cheeky answer definitely had our hearts aflutter in nostalgia! 

NCT DoJaeJung then went on to showcase more songs off their debut album, performing sexy songs ’Dive’ and ‘Can We Go Back’ right after the other, making everyone go crazy!

The final segment of the fan concert had some lucky fans go on stage to play “Guess The Lyrics,” where the Czennies will act out words from the lyrics of NCT DoJaeJung’s songs while the boys must guess what these words are. It was so fun to watch Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo interact with their beloved fans on a more personal level! We’re sure that the lucky girls will never forget this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of playing with their idols. 

To cap off the fan concert, DoJaeJung serenaded Czennies with the much-awaited performance of their title track ‘Perfume’ — it was amazing to see the whole arena sing along to the entire song and scream “Yeah, yeah, that’s me” at the top of their lungs! This was then followed by ‘Ordinary’ and ‘Strawberry Sunday’ for the encore.
